The Lying Game Series

"I had a life anyone would kill for.

Then someone did.

The worst part of being dead is that there's nothing left to live for. No more kisses. No more secrets. No more gossip. It's enough to kill a girl all over again. But I'm about to get something no one else does--an encore performance, thanks to Emma, the long-lost twin sister I never even got to meet.

Now Emma's desperate to know what happened to me. And the only way to figure it out is to be me--to slip into my old life and piece it all together. But can she laugh at inside jokes with my best friends? Convince my boyfriend she's the girl he fell in love with? Pretend to be a happy, care-free daughter when she hugs my parents goodnight? And can she keep up the charade, even after she realizes my murderer is watching her every move?

From Sara Shepard, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Pretty Little Liars books, comes a riveting new series about secrets, lies, and killer consequences.

Let the lying game begin."

Okay, so I was soooo super excited to read this series, I seriously read the PLL series in I think a two week span, and there's 16 books in the series! This series has the same type of suspense that PLL had, which is just enough suspense for me, I'm not one for super scary/thriller type books, so Sara Shepard is my cup of tea when it comes to the suspense/mystery factor.

A little run down of the books - without giving too much away. The series basically follows two main characters, Emma Paxton and Sutton Mercer who are long lost twin sisters. One sister is dead, and the other is forced to take the others place. Throughout the book series you follow Emma and Sutton as Emma tries to figure out what happened to her twin sister, who killed her, and why they lured her in to take Sutton's place.

There's 6 books in this series (you can find all the titles on my 2016 Reads pages which I have linked).

I would highly recommend this series! It is an easy read, perfect for the summer. If you loved the PLL series, you will love this one just as much! Sara Shepard keeps you on your toes throughout this whole series!
